about us

Welcome to the Asian Women’s Project (AWP)

Asian Women’s Project (AWP) AWP is a Nottingham based charity dedicated to promoting the rights, wellbeing, and empowerment of women especially Asian women across the city. Since 1998, we have delivered vital services ranging from education and training to childcare and welfare support. Our mission is to address the social and economic exclusion many women face, and help them build brighter futures through access to resources, community connection, and safe spaces.

What We Do

Building Better Communities Together

AWP offers a wide range of hands-on training programmes designed to equip women with real-world skills and boost their confidence. Our courses help women gain independence and open doors to employment and entrepreneurship.

Our team provides support in welfare rights, benefits, housing, and accessing public services, making sure women get the help they need to overcome barriers.

We offer child care and youth-focused initiatives, helping both younger and older generations through play, learning, and care.

We create safe, supportive environments where women can learn, network, and grow from community gatherings to workshops and cultural celebrations.
